Local Food Distributions/Pantries

Berkley Cares Food Pantry

  • BCFP distributes Care Boxes every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Gleaners

  • Multiple locations provided on a 14-day rotation. Please view distribution schedule at the above website.

Open Hands Food Pantry

  • Located at St John’s Episcopal Church at Woodward and 11 Mile Roads in Royal Oak. No appointment distribution on the first and third Saturday of each month.

St. David’s Food Pantry

  • Located on 12 Mile in Southfield, the food pantry at St David’s Episcopal Church is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 until noon.

Family Services

HAVEN

  • 24-hour crisis line: 248-334-1274

  • HAVEN has helped domestic violence and sexual assault victims and their families escape abuse and create safer lives for

    over 40 years. Our survivor-centered services honor survivors as experts of their own experiences.

Lighthouse

  • We provide up to 90 days of emergency housing for families, of any make up, with children experiencing homelessness. Our

    shelter offers private sleeping quarters for families and daily meals.

Nurturing Parent Program

  • Nurturing Parenting Program (NPP) is a FREE, family-based parenting program designed to nurture, educate and support

    families with challenges known to impact parenting. Public Health Nurses provide 16 weekly home visits teaching parenting

    skills, child development, and how to establish a nurturing family life.

South Oakland Citizens for the Homeless

  • Low-barrier means that Welcome Inn accepts guests exactly as they are.  More specifically, aside from rules that ensure the

    safety of other guests, volunteers and staff, Welcome Inn places few stipulations on its guests that would otherwise restrict their

    access when no other options are available.

Health and Wellness

Children’s Special Healthcare Services (CSHCS)

  • CSHCS provides child centered, family focused, and community-based assistance to children with chronic (long-term), and

    severe medical issues. Assisting over 3,000 children a year, Oakland County CSHCS staff connect families to resources,

    coordinate and manage care, educate, and remove barriers for children enrolled in the program.
